Seafoam Atelier is a creative studio for photographer, Samira Malik. Established in 2024, but actually decades in the making, this is a dream realised.

My approach is instinctive. I have always been drawn to beauty found in everyday moments- the sunlight shimmering on the sea, unusual cloud formations or a sunset on the horizon. My photographs look for moments that hold feelings of freedom worth remembering.

Seafoam is a colour upon which my palette is based but it is also a feeling. It is based on my fascination with water, sitting watching the sea, sailing out in open waters, swimming in it on a sunny afternoon, plunging into freezing waters on a winter's day... my version of soul food!

I am involved with every step of the process.. I selected Hahnemühle German Etching paper for this very reason. The texture and finish of the photographs printed by specialist printers creates an immersive experience, a moment of timelessness and beauty.

Enjoying the process, discovering new places to photograph, concentrating on the present are all deeply fulfilling and I look forward to sharing more of my work with you.
